Angels Trumpet 'Alba' (Brugmansia sanguinea) 2L Pot

Brugmansia sanguinea ‘Alba’ is a pale-flowered form of the Andean Red Angel’s Trumpet.

The plant develops an open, branching habit with broad green leaves. Mature plants are expected to produce hanging tubular flowers in white, cream or pale yellow shades.

The flowers are generally unscented. Their lighter colouring distinguishes this seed line from the more familiar red, orange and yellow forms of Brugmansia sanguinea.

In the UK, ‘Alba’ is suitable for greenhouse, conservatory and summer patio cultivation. It should be grown in a container so it can be protected from frost during winter.

Growing Advice

Grow your ‘Alba’ Angel’s Trumpet in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-draining compost. Move the plant into a large and stable container as it develops.

Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser during early growth. Change to a high-potassium feed once flower buds begin to develop.
