Unlike many other Brugmansia species, the flowers of Brugmansia sanguinea are generally unscented. They are adapted to pollination by birds rather than night-flying moths.

Growing Advice

Grow your ‘Aurantia’ Angel’s Trumpet in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-draining compost. Move the plant into progressively larger and more stable containers as it develops.

Keep the compost consistently moist during active growth. Brugmansia plants use considerable amounts of water during warm weather, but the roots should not remain waterlogged.

Place the plant in a bright, sheltered position protected from strong winds. The broad leaves and soft branches can be damaged in exposed locations.
