Habanero Cappuccino (Capsicum chinense) 2L Pot
Habanero Cappuccino is a hot Capsicum chinense variety grown for its wrinkled fruit and mahogany-brown colouring.
The plant develops a bushy habit with broad green leaves and small pale flowers. The fruit begins green before ripening through reddish shades to brown or mahogany.
The peppers are generally rounded or lantern-shaped with a folded and uneven surface. Fruit shape and depth of colour will vary according to growing conditions and ripeness.
Habanero Cappuccino has the fruity and aromatic flavour associated with habanero peppers, accompanied by strong heat. It can be used in hot sauces, marinades, salsas and dried seasoning.
In the UK, Habanero Cappuccino grows best in a greenhouse or polytunnel.

Growing Advice
Grow your Habanero Cappuccino in fertile, well-draining compost in a warm and sunny position. Move the plant into a larger container as it develops.
Keep the compost evenly moist throughout active growth. Avoid waterlogging and repeated wilting while the plant is flowering or carrying fruit.
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser during early growth. Change to a high-potassium tomato feed once flowers or young peppers appear.
The branches may require support when carrying several mature fruit.
Plants can be placed outside during settled warm weather but will usually perform more reliably under cover.
Habanero Cappuccino may be overwintered in a bright, frost-free position.
Fruiting in the UK
Habanero Cappuccino can produce fruit in the UK when provided with consistent warmth and good light.
The peppers may take considerable time to develop their mature brown or mahogany colouring. Greenhouse or polytunnel cultivation provides the most reliable conditions.
