Jimmy Nardello’s is a heritage sweet pepper variety grown for its long, narrow fruit and suitability for frying.

The peppers begin green before ripening to a deep red colour. Their slender and sometimes twisted appearance can resemble a hot chilli, but the fruit is sweet and contains little or no heat.

Jimmy Nardello’s peppers have thin walls and a fruity flavour. They are particularly suited to frying and roasting but can also be eaten raw, grilled, pickled or added to cooked dishes.

In the UK, Jimmy Nardello’s grows best in a greenhouse, polytunnel or warm and sheltered patio position.

Growing Advice

Grow your Jimmy Nardello’s Pepper in fertile, well-draining compost in a warm and sunny position. Transfer the plant into a larger container if required to support continued growth and fruit production.

Keep the compost evenly moist, particularly during flowering and fruit development. Avoid prolonged waterlogging and repeated periods of severe dryness.

Jimmy Nardello’s can fruit successfully in the UK when provided with warmth and strong light.
